I am In-house technology management support team leader responsible for wide ranging and complex diagnostic and laboratory technologies. Current roles include; Providing demonstrated knowledge and mastery of more than 5 complex technology environments that would traditionally be held under service contract.  Management of specialized high technology areas.  Capital Planning of all Biomedical Technologies. Organize and coordinate the internal quality assessment and improvement systems for the department.  Developing specifications and obtaining quotations from suppliers, raising indents and ensuring the biomedical engineering technologists (BMETs) have adequate resources.  Ordering non- capital equipment in consultation with Lead Technology Users Directly supervise all phases of Biomedical Equipment Management Services (Procurement, Acceptance Testing, Inventory and Inspection, Preventive Maintenance, General Maintenance, donations and Disposals) Assist in the management and repatriation of service contracts. Supervise Biomedical Engineering Technologists and other junior staff as required. Train others constantly, on specialized technologies for which they are experts and assist the development of training plans to enhance the skills of other junior staff. Supervise the periodic inventory and assessment of MRC biomedical technologies and ensure the quality and consistency of the Biomedical Engineering technology management database. Provide proactive assessment, feedback and assistance to facilities to ensure the optimum environment for biomedical technologies. Perform specialised biomedical technology projects, investigations, and design development as assigned by the Biomedical Engineer.
