PhD student in nuclear engineering at the Oregon State University. I am developing my research around power transient critical heat flux at PWR operating conditions. Having been in undergrad (BsNE) during the Fukushima accident, I have been very interested in the Accident Tolerant Fuels Program and I am extremely happy to be able to do my PhD work on transient fuel safety to support this DOE mission. I am also very interested in the technical and licensing development of Gen. IV reactors and would love to pursue a career that will ultimately contribute to the commercialization of new reactor designs. My biggest passion, however, is in space nuclear system design. I will always be keeping an eye on emerging technologies and finding ways to keep my technical capabilities transferable into this area.
