As the Business Development Specialist with the Town of Newmarket, I am responsible for leading a variety of cross-corporate projects from the Economic Development perspective. I led the roll out of emergency response measures for businesses and the creation of the Business Assistance Concierge Program during the 2020-2021 COVID-19 Pandemic. I also led the creation of the Town's Choose Newmarket campaign, focusing on the amplification of marketing and opportunities around Shop Local in 2020 and 2021. I lead a variety of organizational priorities including select development projects from conception, through Site Plan and execution, Historical Augmented Reality projects and other innovative cross-corporate projects.I also lead the ongoing Business Retention and Expansion program including the development and analysis of surveys, conducting interviews, and providing solutions to companies who identify concerns. In this role, I lead a variety of economic development projects and support team members and senior management in research, policy direction and data analysis. I am the staff liaison to the Main Street BIA where I provide continuity between boards, key communication with the Town and assist with strategic planning. I sit on the Town's Innovation team, leading and assisting other members of the committee with creative solutions to municipal challenges including implementing "Bring Your Dog to Work Day," filling of vacant properties, project management, creative engagement with the community and process improvement.

I taught Staff in Training and junior staff members the importance of safety mechanisms, the benefits of an effective rappelling programs and build on their knowledge of ropes implementation. As part of the rappelling team, I routinely assessed the safety of our rappelling cliffs and built new routes as older ones needed retired. I ordered equipment, maintained the integrity of equipment and ran rescue drills on a regular basis to ensure the overall effectiveness of the program.
