Director- Financial Institutions Supervision
CurrentResponsible for directing and leading the work of two divisions within the Financial Institutions Supervision Directorate, with 15 full-time staff with responsibility for the supervision of financial institutions in Bahrain including various lines of business such as investment business, trust service providers, money changers, representative offices designated, ancillary services Fund Administrators, and 5 full time staff responsible for the authorization and supervision of Mutual Funds/collective investment undertakings.Responsible for developing and delivering financial institutions prudential policies for the Regulatory Policy of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB)– the statutory body with responsibility for microprudential and macroprudential policy in the Kingdom of Bahrain- on capital resources, leverage, liquidity, credit risk, market risk and operational risk for CBB-licensed investment business, trust service providers, money changers, representative offices designated, ancillary services and fund administrators. This responsibility entails formulating, negotiating and implementing Bahrain national financial services policy relating to above-stated CBB licensees.
