The Faculty Legislative Representative consults with faculty and provides information to the legislators; consults with the university's Director of Governmental Relations to promote all matters of joint interest, thereby providing CWU with a united voice wherever possible and more comprehensive coverage throughout the legislative session; testifies on matters of faculty and university interest; coordinates activities and efforts with Faculty Legislative Representative, Council of Faculty Representatives and the Council of Presidents; becomes a positive representative of Central Washington University; educates regional legislators as to the number of their constituents who attend CWU; generates interest and legislative responsibility among faculty through information and reports to the Faculty Senate.

Description of the trip is below:Each summer the Department of Information Technology and Administrative Management leads a group of students on a life-changing experience through Central Europe! This is a faculty-led study abroad class is presented in English and offers students a chance to experience the information technology industry, retail management industry and administrative management areas of 4-5 Central European countries. This trip allows students to experience first hand the languages, cultures and business ideologies in post-Socialist Central Europe.
