Samrudhi Livelihood Collective is a private limited company incorporated at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. We are focused on micro enterprise development through formation of women Joint Liability Groups (JLG). The enterprise is committed to the triple bottom line model – People, Planet and Profit.In the past, we have been working on different enterprise models suitable for the Indian rural and urban context. One of the urban models is the Mobile Restaurant Chain on electric vehicles. First of its kind in the world, it’s an organised, licensed and a single brand food outlet run by women JLGs spread across all the cities in the country.Smaller cities target mobilisation of 60 women JLGs to run 60 carts where each member earns a minimum income of Rs 15,000 per month. At the same time, a metro like Delhi or Mumbai will need a minimum of 2000 carts each, which will help thousands of JLGs and families to engage in a sustainable livelihood. 100 Smart Cities of India are our target.
