Had the opportunity to participate in the NCAS ( NASA community college aerospace scholars) program both in April of 2022 for mission 1 and now in August of 2022 for mission 2. Had a chance to be a design/ research engineer as part of the mock rover competition where the team of community college students create a fake company to pitch a rover design and present it at the end. It was great learning about myself and growing and also networking with complete strangers from another campus as well as my own. We worked together to solve programming and design issues as well as keep track of our budget and time. Listened to each other and supported or improved upon everyone’s ideas as well as had a mentor ( our mock CEO) help us offer insight as to what we were possibly doing wrong or even steering us into a better path. Overall the experience and above all the connections I made will be with me my whole life and even into any career I go into. If you made it this far reading I thank you for your time. I hope to be able to prove myself and show any employer I have what it takes if they give me a chance. Have been playing mariachi part time since 2001. I have learned to play guitar, vihuela and Guitarron. I sing as well. Have taught mariachi also in after school programs from about 2002-2007. Have an associates in music mariachi emphasis and graduated in 2006. I really enjoy performing out there and signing. It’s part time but have been a member of groups as well as been a free lance musician. Hit me up if you ever want to talk about mariachi. Now working towards getting an associates in computer aided drafting and design as well as wanting to continue and pursue a bachelors in engineering. Started school again in august 2021. Learned so much on solidworks and using auto cad as well as inventor and learning some fusion 360. As well as learning skills to create parts on solidworks and 3d print them as well. Wish to pursue a career doing computer aided drafting with the intention of becoming an engineer and continue to work hard for my family and provide anyway I can while working and attending school to pursue a bachelors in engineering. Always open to hear advice and maybe one day lead me to an opportunity to do my passion in music and engineering.
