My previous job as a product manager taught me valuable skills such as how to problem solve and how to communicate in a business setting. After mentoring an at-risk teenage girl for a couple years, I realized how much need exists right in our own community and came back to school to get an MPA and learn how to apply my skills to the public sector. Right now, I'm learning how to make quantitative-based decisions and how to work effectively in teams. I hope to join the public sector and help improve the lives of people in my community.
