I obtained my bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Koç University, Turkey. During my bachelor years, I had experiences in both molecular biology laboratories and pharmaceutical companies. Afterward, I started a specialized Master of Science program at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. The program's general focus was experimental biomedical research; however, I’ve chosen to work on the neuroscience option in which I finished working on Salivary Biomarkers of Alzheimer’s Disease in SICHH, Swiss Integrative Center for Human Health, with my advisors, Lavinia Alberi Auber and Jean-Marie Annoni.Right now, I am a postgraduate associate at Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, Divisions of Stroke and Neurocritical Care & Emergency Neurology, under the supervision of Nishant Mishra, with the primary research focus on post-stroke epilepsy and neurobehavioral outcomes of stroke survivors.
