I lead the "Agent-based Modeling for Multi-objective Optimization of Energy Production Pathways" project, where I develop advanced mathematical models and algorithms to tackle complex challenges in designing and managing liquid fuel supply chains from agricultural feedstocks. Initially, I pioneered a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm to optimize costs, minimize greenhouse gas emissions, and reduce supply chain shortfalls. In the project’s second phase, I focused on simulating and optimizing the entire biomass supply chain—from field to refinery—using state-of-the-art Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) techniques. This research aims to revolutionize sustainable energy production by integrating with real-world supply chain dynamics.

My work synthesized extensive data on sludge processing, land application, energy recovery, and disposal practices, culminating in detailed reports that highlighted regulatory differences and identified gaps in the regulations. Additionally, I contributed to the initial stages of data collection for domestic, urban, and industrial sludge, ensuring the integration of accurate and relevant information for ongoing and future analyses.

I was part of "Treatment and Disposal of Wastewater from Health Institutions" which is a joint project of the Ministry of Environmental and Urbanization, and Middle East Technical University Environmental Engineering Department. I investigated the physical characteristics and toxicity values of used chemicals in the pilot hospital. I studied determining Total Effect Score (TES) and Total Hazard Value Score (TTS) with the obtained data.
