We provided a centralized coordination service for families to manage all aspects of in-home care. Advised by a dedicated team of health experts, caregivers choose from programs designed to more effectively manage the services they need, from nurses and home health aides, to meal delivery, transportation, companion care, and more. • Built the engineering team and implemented the core product powered by AngularJS front-end, iOS and Android Apps, and Java EE backend.

Joined as VP of Engineering in start-up phase and helped the company grow to $100M/year in revenue by expanding the engineering team, structuring the development workflow, adopting best practices, extending product offerings, and strengthening operations.• Managed multiple teams spanning 5 locations around the globe and successfully delivered numerous projects. Maintained, improved, and scaled company’s infrastructure.• Developed company’s backend systems that processed 5000+ events/sec, aggregated more than 250 Billion events from over 2 Billion app installs, tracked conversions, and computed long term usage, retention, and active usage data.• Initiated and managed development of company’s warehousing infrastructure that supplied data to client dashboard and served API calls for clients.• Single-handedly re-implemented the company’s main infrastructure from scratch, as it was not able to keep up with ever-increasing load. The new code could scale up to 100x the current load using only 10% of the original resources. Devised and supervised testing procedures, and operated the smooth transition to the new system.

• Hired by the former CEO of Icosystem and Coalesix to manage team of offshore scientists and developers and implement the core simulation engine, which powered company’s web-based product, www.cellucidate.com. The engine is an agent-based, fast, stochastic, and scalable implementation of Gillespie algorithm to simulate cell-signaling pathways for investigating the causal and dynamic properties of biological systems.• Managed the development of and implemented RuleStudio, company’s standalone software application. • Closely worked with a group of world-class Computer Scientists from academia and bridged the gap between company’s biology and software engineering teams.

Projects required utmost analytical, communication, and organization skills. All programming done in Java.• Explored fuel pricing tactics for a major multinational oil company. Modeled pricing behavior of competitors, implemented a prediction engine, and formulated novel strategies to enhance client’s competitive advantage in their $10 billion/year revenue business division. Techniques used include Radial Basis Function Network, Backpropagation Network, Fuzzy ARTMAP, and Multivariate Regression.• Developed an Agent-Based Model of a Fortune 100 high-tech company’s vast computing resources. Analyzed massive and noisy data sets and fit statistical distributions for the model. Ran simulations under various scenarios and devised solutions to optimize resource allocation, forecast just-in-time purchase of new equipment, and reduce client’s spending substantially. • Devised a solution for a Fortune 500 entertainment company to maximize profits. Delivered and deployed a highly successful software tool used in operations planning that could lead to 5% increase in profits. Solved the optimization problem using a Linear Programming Solver (Simplex Algorithm) and Genetic Algorithm.

Developed individual robot behaviors that resulted in complex, emergent, and intelligent swarm behaviors both in software and hardware. Heuristical algorithms inspired from Self Organizing Neural Networks. Successfully presented results at various meetings, including DARPATech 2004 Symposium.• Created an agent-based customer behavior model for online banking operations of a Fortune 100 bank. Implemented Java code to simulate the model and developed business strategy for the client.

Analyzed and improved trading models for this startup Hedge Fund. Studied vast amount of tick data. Strategies included time series forecasting and arbitrage using equities, futures and options.

• Designed and implemented a C++ based Content Management Application to effectively leverage company’s unique text classification technology. Software opened new business opportunities and was key to landing company’s first OEM deal. Led the company to a novel vision. • Analyzed vast Internet click stream data to explore correlation between pages accessed in short time intervals. Successfully improved the classification accuracy of new Web domains for company’s core technology.• Designed and implemented the back-end process of an advertisement planning product. Applied statistical methods to a broad cross section of web pages and determined what (a) context, (b) demographics, (c) affiliations, and (d) traffic volume constitute an effective buying mix for a marketing campaign planner.
