I am an independent designer, researcher and creative with 10+ years of experience in designing and delivering user experience solutions. I am well-experienced in running design research activities, designing digital services, experiences and interfaces, working, with and for, design innovation firms, ambitious companies, organisations and institutions both as an independent consultant and in-house designer. Over the years, I have worked for and led projects, together with international multidisciplinary teams and colleagues in many different industries and sectors among others e-commerce, retail, consumer products, financial services, telecommunication, media and entertainment, food and beverage companies, cultural heritage sector and social impact organisations. I have had the honour to work for and collaborate with design innovation firms among others Frog Design, Fjord | Accenture Song, Spark Reply, Sketchin, EPAM Continuum and Propellerfish.My professional and academic experience is on in-depth research and exploration about design methods and methodologies in support of innovation processes and human-centred approaches, specifically service design tools, in support of the digital transformation and organisational change actions. I am very passionate about exploring the thinking competencies of design and related methods specifically for the cultural and heritage sector. I advocate for the impact of design in improving people’s engagements with cultural organisations, in optimising their businesses and in innovating their experience offers. I love sharing ideas and regularly speak at events & conferences where I talk about design practices, innovation and the cultural sector. I have been a speaker and/or workshop leader for conferences and events among others Museum and the Web, NEMO - Network of European Museum Organisations Webinars, Service Design Drinks, MuseumDigit, We Are Museums, ICOMItalia, Design Principles and Practices and NODEM. I have occasionally been involved in diverse teaching activities at Politecnico di Milano, PoliDesign, Domus, IED and écal.In 2017, in addition to my work as an independent design practitioner, I have also founded Jüniör with the idea to introduce the thinking competencies of design into the heritage sector. Jüniör develops, designs and delivers design workshops+actions and offers design consultancy services specifically tailored for cultural institutions; museums, foundations and archives and companies+brands with a strong interest in leveraging their cultural, artistic and entrepreneurial heritage.
