Working on Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits. Dealing with eligibility of new claims and renewing existing ones. Offering financial advice and guidance to meet customer needs and generate accurate Tax Credit payments.

I worked alongside my supervisor assisting him with converting hand written CVs of claimants onto system database and making adjustments to them up to a professional standard. In addition, I designed and developed detailed documentations for claimants to follow when accessing office computers or government web applications.Furthermore, I offered guidance and taught job seekers on how to use the IT systems in Job Centre. This includes how to write CVs and cover letters, setting up new emails, how to use email for job applications, navigating through Universal Jobmatch account and making use of its online features.From the experience of working for Department for Work & Pensions (DWP), I have gained valuable customer facing experiences, these experiences enabled me to communicate with customers from different age, background and ethnicity.Essentially, I was providing a service to claimants, therefore, I had to make sure that I supported them professionally, efficiently and ensured customer satisfaction, because unemployment could cause stress and frustration to the majority of claimants.
