I am the Deputy Director in the Student Experience Division from October 2022, overseeing visa advice and UKVI compliance, and championing for an inclusive international student experience and targeted support. #WeAreInternationalPrior to this I worked in the role of Immigration Services Manager with a particular focus on the provision of student facing immigration and visa advice, including advocating for high-risk and disadvantaged international students at all levels in the higher education. I work closely with senior colleagues to oversee the governance of Student Visa sponsor compliance, and with colleagues in academic departments and professional services departments to offer specialist advice and policy clarification. I lead on the delivery of a range of training programmes to staff members, working closely with UK visa authorities and professional bodies supporting and advocating for the interest of international students. Prior to this I was an International Student Adviser and Deputy Admissions Coordinator for several years, providing regulated advice under OISC, instigating and managing changes, setting up systems and processes and serving at the highest standards. During this time, I have developed and presented visa advice workshops, intercultural training sessions and CAS training sessions to prospective students, current students and colleagues in the higher education sector.
