I am a Program Lead at Open Doors For Multicultural Families (ODMF), a nonprofit organization that provides culturally and linguistically relevant services to families of children and adults with developmental disabilities and special health care needs. I have been working at ODMF since September 2020, leading and managing various projects that aim to enhance the quality of life and inclusion of our clients and their families.As a Certified Project Manager, I am proficient in planning, executing, and monitoring project budgets, schedules, and teams, ensuring that the project goals and deliverables are met within the scope and resources. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Divinity in progress, which equip me with the knowledge and skills to provide effective counseling, mentoring, and advocacy services to our clients and their caregivers, as well as to collaborate with other mental health and social service professionals.In addition to my role at ODMF, I am also a Worship Pastor at Community Church of Seattle, where I have been serving since January 2023. I am passionate about leading and inspiring others to worship God and to grow in their faith and relationship with Him. I also use my musical talents and skills to create and perform uplifting and meaningful songs and hymns that reflect God's love and grace.My passion for mental health and social justice stems from my personal experience as a survivor of a horrific hate crime that resulted in Brown Sequard Syndrome. With the grace of God, prayers, and the support of my loved ones, I overcame the physical and emotional challenges and pursued my education and career in psychology and divinity. I am committed to empowering those who may not have a voice and fighting for a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background. I am determined to make a positive difference in the world through my work and ministry.
