About Echo Rivera, Phd

Hello, I'm Echo and can help your lab, team, department, or organization create engaging and effective presentations. No more #DeathByPowerpoint! I will help your group learn how to communicate more visually (i.e., effectively) while still sharing data in a professional way. How can I help your group create engaging presentations?I provide professional development training! If you'd like to learn about my system, I have a free training available here: https://bit.ly/free-training-liI am also available for Keynotes and professional speaking opportunities. Who are my professional development trainings for? I work with people who share educational or technical information (i.e., data!). This includes: • Professors, instructors (academics) • Grad students, post docs• Researchers, scientists• Research assistants, associates or research analysts • Training & Technical Assistant (TTA) providers• Community/state coalitions & National resource centers • and similar professionals Email: hello@echorivera.com » KEY SKILLS «🗸 Slide-based presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Apple Keynote etc) 🗸 Powerful and memorable job talks/teaching demos that showcase your skills🗸 Storytelling with data 🗸 Engaging & captivating communications (including lectures)🗸 Data visualization (quant, qual, mixed method)🗸 Visual communication🗸 Presentation animations your audience will love (not ones that overwhelm!)🗸 Graphic design 🗸 Information designI’m not a typical graphic designer or marketing firm. I am a presentation trainer and presentation specialist who also has a PhD in Community Psychology--a research degree in community-based participatory research. I have nearly 14 years of research/evaluation experience (quant, qual, and mixed method), plus experience with teaching, presenting at conferences, grant proposals, and other aspects of academic/evaluation positions. This means that when it comes to communicating data, I know participants need to prioritize the data or educational information. I do not train superficial skills such as how to make slides "look pretty." I train participants how to use the fields of information design, graphic design, and user experience (UX) to help them share your important work in clear, concise, and captivating ways. » LET'S WORK TOGETHER « If you'd like to learn about my professional development training options, send me a message so we can chat about how I can help your team!
