Cyclone Energy Pty Ltd acquired a 93.722% interest in the L14 production licence and L14 Joint Venture and was appointed Operator of the L14 JV. Under Cyclone operatorship the L14 JV brought the facility back into production after a 5-year care and maintenance period; which include re-certification of facility and well enhancement programs. RCMA Australia Pty Ltd (RCMA) took over operatorship of the L14 Jingemia producing oil field in the Perth Basin from Cyclone Energy Pty Ltd (Cyclone) in May 2018 and offered to retain me as part of the transition from Cyclone to RCMA. RCMA is a subsidiary of a Singaporean Holding Company, with IFRS reporting obligations under ASIC in Australia. Under RCMA Operatorship two (2) well workovers were completed. The accounting function entailed the Corporate Accounting function, as well as the Joint Venture Accounting function (Empire was Operator of the JV). Empire operated the Red Gully gas production facility near Gingin (Western Australia) and further had interests and operated approximately 10 other exploration permits in Australia. Empire had a foreign subsidiary in New Zealand.During the period Empire divested interests in exploration permits; and was actively seeking farminees for its exploratory drilling campaign and potentially selling a stake in the Red Gully gas facility. Empire drilled an exploration well during the period, with procurement of drilling services and management of the drilling activities handled by Empire in-house. Responsible for the preparation of consolidated year-end and half-year financial statements for this NSX (Australia) listed company. International Petroleum Ltd Group is comprised of an Australian Parent company with subsidiaries in the UK, Cayman Islands, Kazakhstan, Russia and Africa. Responsibilities include technical interpretation of Accounting Standards and application thereof, consolidation workings, financial statement preparation, audit file preparation, liaising with auditors and company management and facilitation of the half-year reviews and year-end audit. Areas covered included foreign subsidiaries with different functional currencies, sale of foreign subsidiaries, share purchase agreement with novation of debts, convertible debt with embedded derivatives, assets held for sale, going concern analysis.

Tap Oil Ltd (Tap) had subsidiaries in Australia and foreign jurisdictions, including the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei and Ghana. The accounting function entailed the Corporate Accounting function, as well as the Joint Venture Accounting function. Tap had non-operated interests in the Harriet JV (Apache operated) and Woollybutt JV (ENI operated) producing fields and other non-operated interests in various exploration permits. Tap operated some Joint Ventures in Australia, as well as the JV’s in the Philippines, Brunei and Ghana. Transactions during the period included divestment or partial divestment of interests in exploration permits in Australia and Brunei and divestment of Tap’s share in the producing Harriet Joint Venture Divestments resulted in the facilitation of due diligence by acquirers and capturing the resultant accounting implications. Tap also acquired a 30% interest in a producing oil field in Thailand, raising capital for the acquisition.Various exploration wells were drilled during period, with Tap overseeing the drilling of 1 well as Operator in Australia.
