Bringing lead battery technology and application together: With 28 years of experience as battery expert, working at the interface between - automotive industry (functional safety, modern power supply systems, micro/mild hybridization) and - battery industry (focus on lead-acid batteries and their system integration), I enjoy working every day closely with both product/application engineers and suppliers, all the way from university research, first concept studies to field battery analysis after years in service. Aiming to link battery makers and users, I regularly act as session chair at international conferences and co-organizer of industry meetings such as Automotive Lead Battery Advancements (ALBA). I am an editor and co-author of several books on battery application technology . I am a member of European and International standardization working groups and have been awarded 18 patents so far. I have been awarded with the International Lead Award 2022.
