-Part of Albert’s Middle School Global History authoring team (independent contractor)-Research, develop. and write a variety of question types for Albert’s ed-tech platform in preparation for the launch of new course in April 2024-Utilize Markdown, LaTeX, and other formatting/rendering programs to publish questions to the platform, receiving editing feedback from Content Manager as needed-Add all necessary standards, tags, citations, etc. to published questions-Research, modify, and insert supplementary materials as needed, adhering to all copyright, fair use, and public domain laws

-Pearson Online Academy is a U.S. accredited K–12 international online private school serving students remotely from all around the world -Utilize innovative Edtech and SaaS platforms such as Pearson Connexus™, Adobe Connect, and LiveLesson® for a student-centered approach to support, enrich, and personalize each student's learning, with an emphasis on instructional design -Develop and facilitate weekly LiveLessons® online with 140+ students, designing and embedding creative multi-media content such as Edpuzzle, Nearpod, and TED-Ed to engage students in the curriculum-Design tech-driven project-based learning programs for students at Pearson-Conduct Curriculum Based Assessments with each individual student via phone, Zoom LiveLesson, or Skype for students living abroad-Design, develop and modify Pearson’s proprietary SaaS platform, providing feedback to UI and UX teams as needed

Create standard-aligned, objective driven lessons. Deliver data-driven instruction based on student “Benchmark” performance, working closely with school leaders to analyze student assessment data to measure progress. Determine which standards are explicitly taught and assessed, identify trends and patterns in the more successful standards, and create data-driven action plans based on student outcomes.

The Young Heroes Outreach Program (YHOP) is a yearlong educational program for grades 4-8 that empowers students in the areas of leadership, civic engagement, character development, and critical thinking through project-based learning. Primary responsibilities involved facilitation of Outreach programming in multiple Philadelphia schools, digital curriculum development/design, professional development training, website design and museum tours.

Instructed classes in Geography, Ancient Civilizations, and World History to a diverse population of students representing more than 26 countries. Students from the Republic of Korea represented the majority of the enrollment, with the USA, China and Canada forming other major groups. The next largest student groups in the QISS community included: Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Germany, Finland, Slovakia, Denmark, Poland and Japan. Delivered a strong, ELL inquiry-based approach to instruction, culminating in performance-based assessments (Key Assignments) that promoted the core character traits of vitality, courage, sensitivity, intelligence, and compassion.

Created and taught rigorous, relevant lessons adhering to Pennsylvania State Standards, curriculum guidelines and Central Dauphin School District’s RRR (Rigor, Relevance, Relationships) initiative. Honored by school as Most Inspiring teacher for the 2015-2016 school year. Nominated and selected as a member of Cohort 5 of CDSD RRR, trained in preparing and presenting to grade level and content-similar colleagues on topics including The Student-Centered Lesson, Effective Group Work, High Level Questioning, and the Socratic Seminar.
