Throughout my career I have learned that the time and effort it takes to share knowledge with and learn from my teammates pays dividends. Each of us has unique gifts to share. For nearly eight years I have had the honor of working at Rockland Trust Bank in Massachusetts. Within less than a year of starting as a branch teller I was promoted to municipal banking. At the recommendation of my manager, a year and a half ago I took a career leap into project management. It is challenging at times and always rewarding. By far one of the best decisions I have made to date. I can already see that this career trajectory doesn't allow for stagnation and requires lifelong learning to which I am well-suited. I look forward to gaining project management experience and knowledge to lead increasingly complex and technical projects. This summer I earned my Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and am now pursuing a Smartsheet Project Management certification. In my free time, I am attending a pair of Safe Conversations® workshops to be more mindful of how I'm showing up in communication as the listener and the speaker. Networking internally and externally has become increasingly important to me. This year I am taking advantage of networking opportunities offered by my employer's Women of Action ERG. One is the Ellevate women's networking community and its Squad program, and the other is the South Shore Conference for Women.
