Thesis research developing a mouse model of pulmonary M. abscessus infection, as well as investigations into basic mechanisms of peptidoglycan synthesis and their influence on M. abscessus virulence.Papers published during this period are linked below.

Duties included preparation of clinical reagents for the CFF Burkholderia cepacia Research Laboratory and Repository (J. LiPuma, Director) laboratory, processing and storage of sputum samples, and updating of database records.In addition, to complete my honors degree at the University I undertook an independent research project which will culminate in the writing of my Honors Thesis.

Called alumni and friends of the University on evenings and weekends to help raise funds for student programs, raising over $120,000 myself. Worked with new callers on shift as an experienced caller mentor, providing advice and work feedback. Supervised calling shifts, verified phone pledges and addressed any problems that arose on shift. Listened in on calls, coached student callers to give feedback on what to improve as well as positive reinforcement of good calling techniques.
