Managed the in-person and online webinar events for Environmental Defence Canada in the Development deparmemt, as fundraising endevours and educational awarenesss.

I lead the strategic planning and implementation of a new campaign in ocean marine protection for New Zealand, as well as re-strategized a plastics campaign after a successful win in banning plastic bags by expanding the campaign goals into a national strategy on banning an assortment of single-use plastic materials in the country. Ended the position early due to the birth of my son and personal reasons for returning to my native country.

Digital Outreach Specialist for the Mobilization Lab of Greenpeace in 2014-2016: Produced & hosted "MobLab Live," a YouTube show covering emerging digital campaign topics such as open campaigns, SMS organizing & responsiveness. Author & researcher of the "Mobilisation Cookbook," a guidebook on launching people-powered campaigns at Greenpeace (translated into 6 languages & an online course). Digital Campaigner in 2015 for ”People vs. Oil” at-sea campaign confronting Shell’s Arctic offshore drilling operation.Local Groups Coordinator in 2016 - 2017: Developed a national strategy for Greenpeace Canada's local groups through a distributed organizing approach that developed the leadership of dozens of groups across the country to run and lead Greenpeace campaigns in various regions of Canada. Six-month contract as the Campaign Director for start-up ENGO of the late Rob Stewart. Strategic planning for "Fin-Free" campaign, a distributed campaign with local chapters. Emily developed the communications materials, email appeals, toolkits and website content. Emily also developed educational study guides for grades 11-12 of ‘Revolution’ campaign, a multi-issue environmental youth program in coordination with the documentary film by Rob Stewart titled the same. In addition, Emily managed office, financials, intern team, as well as dozens of volunteers across Canada.

Eco-Correspondent on MTV News Canada and Director/ Producer of four TV-documentaries for the show IMPACT, a series examining environmental and social issues that affect Gen Y. Emily's shows included the Tar Sands, UN Climate summit in Cancun and a special on the G20 Summit in Toronto hit #1 spot across Canada for non-sports channels.

Research and chased stories for an independent world television network. Assisted in producing content for online video programming in a new media field. Occasionally served as a climate producer, developing segments on Republican attacks on climate science and more. In addition, covered a wide variety of world events: Arab Springs, Wisconsin uprising and Fukushima disaster.

Emily was the chief eco-blogger for the online version of a leading Canadian magazine, covering issues such as the Canadian Tar Sands to the Copenhagen climate summit. She wrote the highest viewed blog for 2009 on the impacts of the Alberta Tar Sands to Indigenous communities downstream of the project.

Summer contract, Emily managed volunteer community both online and offline, while facilitating outreach events for Toronto Vegetarian Association in summer 2007.

Taught ESL classes to students ages 18-24 in a college in Guangzhou, China.
