• Career Academy of South Bend, Inc. consists of two schools Career Academy, grades 6 thru 12 and Success Academy, grades K thru 5. Between the two schools there are 145 full-time employees and 20 part-time employees. In addition to the full-time and part-time employees there are various contracted personnel and on-call substitute teachers.• As Director of Human Resources, my responsibilities include but are not limited to, promoting and implementing human resource values by planning and managing human resource programs and directing staff, recruiting, staff development, hiring, developing standards, fostering teamwork, building relationships, retaining employees, conflict resolution, enforcing policies and procedures and insuring legal compliance. As part of the leadership team I make recommendations and provide information based on the organization’s needs. In my role I oversee the full scope of Human Resources and direct and coordinate human resource activities in the areas of; organizational structure, employment, compensation, employee database maintenance, benefits administration, employee relations, orientation/training/development, policy/procedure development, and employee services.
