Conceptualized, initiated and implemented sustainable practice and policy program for Denver Mayor John W. Hickenlooper. Focus of Mayor's State of the City address, 2006. Goals and metrics set for citywide practices on one and five year basis; extensive public-private partnerships. Developed award-winning website with volunteer staff. Formed and staffed.

Advised and supported Mayor John Hickenlooper on all issues related to city infrastructure and natural resources; helped with recruitment and transition management for new administration. Supported Departments of Public Works, Planning, Parks & Recreation and Water. Served as liaison to environmental community. Staffed city infrastructure master planning.

Strategic Planning and Program Development for Resource Conservation. Clients included The Nature Conservancy (Medano Zapata Ranch Master Planning), Green Industries of Colorado (Water Conservation Strategy and Marketing for $2 billion industry), Mayor's South Platte River Commission (Inter-jurisdictional Management Plan). Managed multi-party, complex.

Co-authored award-winning master plan for 4700 acre former airport in an urban area - largest single infill project in U.S. Led planning and early implementation for environmental innovations on site, including green building standards, urban nature center, regional greenway and a variety of other projects. Raised over $1.5 million and built program staff.

Flagstaff, Arizona Area

Traveled to communities throughout the Arizona Strip to discuss community conservation program potential with community leaders

Supported rural community forestry initiatives for local NGO operating throughout rural Zimbabwe. Researched and wrote manual on the values and cultivation of 100 local tree species, in cooperation with the National Botanic Garden (Trees for Zimbabwe, 1991). Raised funding from Norwegian and Danish Development Agencies and local philanthropists in support.
