Principal + Sustainable Landscape Designer
CurrentI am currently president of Tyler Schwartz Design Inc. which has officially began as a Corporation as of October 2012. I started this company as a way to share my passion of creating beautiful ecologically sound South Florida landscapes. Before I began my company, I have had 3 years full and part-time experience working as a landscape design consultant, and have utilized my experience in environmental planning and project management to be able to create competitively creative and ecologically sound landscapes for Clients seeking a different approach to having a landscape to look at, but rather live within. As of 2016, we have had the opportunity to consult residential clients regarding projects ranging from self sustaining no mow meadow gardens, edible design-build raised gardens, conservation/restoration gardens, vertical gardens, and ornamental xericscape gardens. Our practice as of 2016 has adopted a minimum 50 % Native Plant / Pollinator friendly approach to landscape design and a maximum recommended design standard of 15% turfgrass to be applied to a project's total area to reduce water consumption in all our landscapes saving clients budget and working alternative walkable ground cover into designs.
