An Austinite since 2016, which means I'm officially allowed to complain about how "Austin used to be cool!" I have a B.S. in Food Science from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, and have previous experience in product development for the beverage industry, and as a cheesemonger. I am currently the founder/owner/COO/jack of all trades at Madhu Chocolate, LLC: An Indian Inspired, bean-to-bar chocolate maker. My husband Harshit and I founded Madhu Chocolate in Fall 2018 with the idea that chocolate is too Euro-centric, and the world deserves to enjoy the beautiful nuts, spices, flowers and fruits of India. Madhu Chocolate has been featured in such publications and the New York Times, Food & Wine Magazine, and Bon Appetite, and we are lucky enough to have won 2 Good Food Awards, as well as the Austin Business Journal Award for 1st generation family business in 2023.
