After I finished college I served an apprenticeship in the Ironworkers at Local Union 25 in Detroit. I've been a Journeyman Iron worker for the past 38years. I ran the IW apprenticeship training program in Michigan for nearly 10 years then became a staff member at the Ironworker's headquarters in Washington, DC in 2002. I worked for the General President as a General Organizer in the apprenticeship & training department and managed the Ironworker's welding certification programs in the US and Canada. I also served in several other capacities as directed by the G.P. I have been an A.W.S. certified welding inspector for nearly 30 years. I still serve on several committees at the American Welding Society as well as being a voting member of the C.S.A. W178.1/.2 in Toronto, Canada. I have lots of experience in management as well curriculum development, auditing, welder qualification, etc. I am now retired from the Ironworkers International and am open to entertaining other job opportunities as a consultant or on a temporary basis.
