Through my love and education in Japanese at school and university, I was introduced to the fashion scene at Australian Fashion Week in 2005. This led me to Japan, where I continued my studies and did work experience with a Japanese distribution company selling the Australian brand Ksubi. After graduating from Melbourne University with a major in Economics and Japanese, I joined the Ksubi distribution team in Sydney, where I met Sam, my future wife and business partner.Following my time at Ksubi, I worked with various fashion businesses, including Bassike, before Sam and I started our Pared journey in 2012. We moved to Bali, where I pursued a role in fashion textiles operations and manufacturing in both Bali and China. We also expanded our business portfolio by launching Kiosk, a retail store offering premium labels, and our clothing line Kokomo, expanding to three stores in Seminyak, Legian, and Uluwatu. In 2016, after the birth of our first child, we wound down our Bali operations and returned to Australia to focus on Pared.As co-founder and head of Pared, we've taken the brand global with appearances at fashion weeks in Paris, London, New York, Australia, and Miami Swim. The brand has become a celebrity favourite, with influencer placements contributing to our success.Recently, our focus has shifted to expanding our Australian business through our David Jones partnership and a strong online presence. In 2023, we relocated to Burleigh on the Gold Coast to set up new operations and prepare the brand for its next phase of expansion.
