Operating and maintaining a fermentation facility ranging from 20litre to160000litre capacity bio-reactors. Responsible for the validation and revalidation of sterile feed systems, cartridge bio-filtration systems. Responsible for implementing, tracking and updating a strict sterility preventative maintenance plan without impacting a busy production schedule, reducing deviations that may have an impact on product quality assurance. Writing and reviewing SOP’s and batch production records (BPR’s). Actively involved with project teams and engineering departments on process flow improvements from implementation to qualification.RCI Investigator relating to foreign growth events. This will include chair meetings, agree and follow up with corrective actions, establish lessons learned, implement best custom and practice to help avoid reoccurrence of similar issues.Vessel inspection using NDT techniques, liaising with Contract engineers as well as scaffolding firms to arrange corrective maintenance and repairs.Confined space entry trained and use of rope access equipment for vessel entries including the use of safety harness.Maintaining and calibrating critical instruments (Glucose Analyser, pH and DO2 probes). Monitoring plant performance & diagnosing faults, ensuring any issues are resolved in a timely manner, raising work orders to the appropriate departments by using electronic work tickets through GMARS software. Make up and sterilise media, maintaining sterility prior to, during and after inoculation. This includes safe use and control of bio hazardous materials.Experience in aseptic sampling techniques in clean room operations,

Operating and monitoring the following types of plant: Spray Drying Plant, Recovery and Recycling Caustic, Ammonia distillation and boiler house duties. Safe use and Control of Hazardous Substances.Shift health and safety representative.Identifying problems and carrying out first line mechanical maintenance including electrical isolations.Involved with site quality procedures, BS 5750 & ISO 9002.
