At the end of 2012, I was promoted to the position of Team Leader within the Planned Works Team at Estate Services. My role encompasses the management of a multidisciplinary team of six building surveyors and engineers whilst specifying, procuring and managing a series of refurbishment schemes on campus and across the University's residential sites. In fulfilling this particular role, I have identified and costed future backlog maintenance projects and managed the University's stock condition review survey.

After successfully securing the position of Building Technical Officer at the University's Estates Department I spent the next four years managing planned maintenance and refurbishment projects across the University campus and University Farms. Specifying sympathetic schemes of repair on historic buildings formed a large part of my work as well as major roof upgrade schemes and office refurbishments. The most prominent restoration project that I have project managed was the scheme of stonework repairs at the Parkinson building clock tower.
