Appointed to provide significant input on data flow of large data collection effort by Highway Traffic Safety Administration. After daily site level data transmissions were verified, managed the resulting data being fed into overall daily file which was run through a series of data checks and ultimately into the overall database.Assisted in the development of a site level tracking Access database for the 2008 Travel Speed Survey; provided input on variables of interest, created daily programs which supplied specific site level information used to determine the acceptance or denial of collected data, performed ad hoc data checks and requested adjustments and updates to data.Responsible for creating the final datasets for the 2008 National Household and Travel Survey; duties included but were not limited to: obtaining data segments from VAX, subset and standardize resulting data segments, perform series of data checks to verify initial data validity, create household, person, day trip, and vehicle level datasets, data checks of final datasets, and creation of codebooks and data dictionaries.Developed speed, citation, and crash related databases for use in determining effective methods of implementing appropriate speed limits; performed quality control checks and analysis of all data received.Provided and managed significant input in the selection of data elements for modeling predictors of nursing home placement. Chosen as lead programmer, in a team of researchers and statisticians, assisting in coding and developing various proportional hazards models on select variables of interest in the Nursing Home Placement project.Responsible for preparing cross-sectional and longitudinal datasets, verifying appropriate skip patterns, and producing critical items checks and corresponding response rates in evaluating the success of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) of 2002 for the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS)Analyzed and interpreted data from the Agency using assorted statistical techniques to determine levels and variability of microorganisms presently found nationally in meat supply. Applied statistical quality control techniques to analyze and determine levels of bacteria at random meat processing operations nationally.Utilized the application of imputation procedures, weighting methods, and non-response adjustments for producing national level estimates on levels of microorganisms in the meat supply.Served as a consultant to FSIS making recommendations on sample sizes and effective analysis techniques for use in national surveys and presentations.Reviewed and critiqued protocols, papers, and sample designs for various USDA sponsored surveys and projects
