Born in Salt Lake City, Edward R Blake was raised in Midvale, graduated from Hillcrest High School, and attended Utah State University where he authored and published research on Artic wolves. With an extensive background in business management and marketing, as the Corporate Retail Operations Manager of a $27 billion dollar national company, he managed more than 400 employees in seven Western states and had responsibility for the sales and marketing execution of over 30 Fortune 500 companies.In 2000 he left the national corporate structure in an effort to spend less time traveling away from home and shifted from a real estate investor to a real estate agent. Two years later he met the standards to achieve his real estate broker license and became a founding member of the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation (CLHMS). He has served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity including Board President and now holds the position of Executive Director. He led a team that opened a 30,000 square foot retail operation called the Habitat for Humanity ReStore located on 1300 S 500 West in Salt Lake City. This home improvement thrift store has seen steady sales growth and is one of Utah's premier recycling programs. All proceeds from the sale of merchandise (to the public) benefits Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity.Ed is currently the owner of two companies.
