Started as a consultant to get the company back on track and profitable. I was later hired on to handle accounting, provide new clients, and advise on management issues.

I served two full four year terms managing the affairs of the City which included Safety, Service, Recreation, Senior Center, and Liquid Waste removal. Restructured the budgetary function to improve efficiency, began programs to trade-in vehicles and eliminate borrowing money for replacements, negotiated a settlement of $125,000 with the EPA for mismanagement of the Waste Water Treatment Plant that had occurred during the term of my predecessor and resulted in fines of more than $60 million, opened all fire stations 24/7, built a new fire station, negotiated with Moen Inc to locate their headquarters in North Olmsted, and much more but this is beginning to look like campaign writing.

I served two full four year terms before being elected Mayor. While Director I oversaw all accounting functions of the city, a $40+ million annual operation, advised the Mayor and Council on financial matters such as the budget and debt. Restructured procedures for debt which lowered interest expenses by over 3%, restructured existing debt, computerized the department and structured the financial software, received the first International award for reporting excellence.
