The club has a membership of 257 families and staff of 120 in season. The Club is 56 years old and well known for its premier 18-hole golf course. The course was designed in 1920 by H.S. (Harry) Colt, a renowned architect for his time. Course construction was completed in 1921, and initially Mr. Colt continued his work throughout the country, working with Alister MacIensie, the architect of Augusta National. Briarwood is situated on 150 acres, 135 of which encompasses the golf course. The remainder is consumed by a 61,543 square-foot clubhouse with multiple dining venues, paddle tennis facilities, a swimming complex, and tennis facility with 4 clay courts.• Implemented and managed an $8.5 million renovation of the clubhouse, men’s and ladies locker room, bar area, main entrance, patio, paddle tennis facility and golf course. Acted as general contractor for much of the renovations.• Revamped the entire food and beverage program, including conducting a national search for a new Executive Chef. Elevated standards and consistency for a la carte and banquet dining. Developed a comprehensive and consistency program for wait staff, bus boys, and bartenders. Membership consistently cites the food and beverage program as the best ever in the history of the Club.• Designed, implemented and managed a complete system audit of the facility leading to the installation of a network computer system and digital phone system. Hired a Director of Finance, and overhauled the Accounting offices (including budgeting procedures and financials) and the Human Resources operations/policies. -

Flynn golf course, 100,000 square-foot clubhouse with multiple dining venues, paddle tennis facility and program, skeet shooting, swimming complex, and tennis program with seven clay courts.• Collaborated with the renovation of the clubhouse, paddle tennis facility, employee’s dorms, kitchen, and new wine cellar.• Revamped the entire food and beverage program. Elevated standards and consistency for a la carte and banquet dining. Develop a comprehensive training program for wait staff, bus boys, and bartenders.• Provided many ideas to assist the General Manager in planning and set-up of all special events.• Significantly lower the payroll percentage for housekeeping, bar, locker room and special events.
