Medical Microbiologist with extensive experience in organoid/cell culture, fluorescence microscopy and a knack for creating novel solutions to complex problems.My academic research so far has focused on modelling host-microbe interactions to better understand mechanisms of infection and invasion. Using a combination of cell lines, organoid cultures, and pathogens of interest, I create models to test pathogenic features and measure cellular responses to coculture. In my PhD, I am exploring the interactions of opportunistic pathogen Candida albicans with the epithelial lining of the gut, including host cytotoxicity and fungal translocation.Actively seeking exciting roles in biotech and medical sciences.
