I am a Landscape Architect obsessed with how we can build better public spaces with less. Let's break the current cycle of build – neglect - demolish - rebuild. We need to move into a design era of timeless and adaptable interventions made using sustainable materials with maximum social and ecological benefits.If the built environment accounts for 39% of global greenhouse gas emissions, then we must change standard practice in Landscape Architecture. I am interested in how we can combine the sustainable techniques of the past with new technologies to create truly sustainable solutions for every project.Ultimately , I think we need to take care of what we already have and I like projects that take a light touch.
