Ed Goodfield, a skilled accountant, business advisor and consultant that specializes in business process improvement.Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Information Technology from the University of Southern California. First employed by Ernst & Young CPAs. It was during the time with E&Y that he passed the California CPA exam and obtained the necessary experience to qualify as a CPA.His career continued at Kaiser Permanente Financial Services where he became manager of accounting system development. He was responsible for the review of all automated and manual accounting systems for the entire Southern California Region. He managed a team of systems analysts and programmers to coordinate the review, proposal, design, program and implementation of new systems, improvements to existing systems.Ed became Manager of the Consulting service for an international CPA firm (Oppenheim Appel Dixon & Co. CPAs). He provided systems consulting for their clients and other companies. Ed specialized as chief consultant for several law firms and 3 national tire retail chains headquartered in the Los Angeles area.Ed was a founding member of Amatix Inc. Over the 14 years he was with the company, he was promoted to CFO and eventually to CEO. The company expanded its product lines to include cushioning and packaging supplies for the toner cartridge recycling industry. This company eventually merged into its largest supplier Marfred Industries.In 2000, Ed moved to Texas to help start a new crown molding company. It employed a CNC, computerize controlled cutting machine to product crown molding from solid blocks of EPS foam. It is a revolutionary new way to quickly produce any size, style and quantity of molding on demand.He is familiar with most small to large business accounting systems. He is extremely skilled with all of the Microsoft Office products and most of the CRM systems. He is a very quick study for any new software that you may be using in your business.
