This includes pricing, underwriting, operations, actuarial, claims and risk mitigation for our health, dental, vision, STD/LTD, Life, Workers Comp and corporate/financial lines. • Became the 90 day interim President and CEO while the health system looked for a new President. Was asked to stay as the permanent President, but elected to take the TriNet position• Built a 90 day corrective action plan• Reorganized the leadership team and department• Led the team through a CMS corrective action plan• Developed a plan to improve the provider agreements outside of the health system.

Member of the Senior Executive Leadership team for Health First, an Integrated Delivery Network consisting of a Health Plan, four hospitals, 250+ employed physicians, a pharmacy company and other outpatient services. Health First Health Plans revenue is $400+ million. Led his team through a rapid growth phase, more than doubling the size of the health plan.

Responsible for starting and running the Health Plan practice within the Healthcare Industry Group. Main projects included leading due diligence efforts for private equity firms of health plans, a medical group and Independent Physician Associations. Additionally, successfully led a financial turnaround of a Physical Therapy company and a cost cutting project for a Caribbean Government.

Responsible for a Medicare Advantage Health Plan, Health Reinsurance Division and Employer Stop Loss Business with revenue of approximately $1.4 billion

Repatriated to U.S.A to become a member of Senior Leadership Team providing direction and oversight for claim processing, care management, preferred service providers and client audits.

Founder and CEO of Munich Re's first Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Company in India and COO and later CEO of India's largest Third Party Administrator (TPA for Health) and Travel Insurance businesses. TPA grew from 2.2 to 4 Million members.

Responsible for growing the Spanish market, which included private health, dental and expatriate insurance. Grew membership from 27,000 to 70,000+ during 4+ years in Spain.

Joined the International unit to help transition from an acquisition only model to a consulting, acquisition and equity model. Focus was on the consulting business. Responsibilities included Europe and Middle East Consulting and Business Development.Overall accountability for the company’s largest consulting client, Munich Re. This was a successful multi million dollar turnaround for the client.

Hired by UnitedHealthcare to assist with the integration of MetraHealth, Share Health Plan and Chicago HMO businesses and to become a member of the senior management team. Health Plan had over 1.2 million members, revenue in excess of $1 billion and a full array of managed care and indemnity products.Provided leadership and direction to 300+ employees in Provider Contracting, Relations, Analysis, Medical Management, Quality and Health Services for Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Iowa.

Successfully started a new physician management company and exceeded all growth and earnings targets. Business Development efforts led to seven new IPA/PHO agreements and responsible for 55,000 capitated members.Negotiated and recruited over 1,000 physician contracts, seven hospital contracts and all ancillary contracts within the first year. Developed excellent relationships with payors and negotiated thirty-five prepaid risk agreements.

This was a successful financial turnaround, which included building a new primary care medical group to manage the majority of the membership.
