We would work in teams of 2 and were based out of different Canada Post offices throughout the Prairies and into Northwestern Ontario. We were working on the Canada Post Rural Mailbox Safety Project. Due to some mail carrier deaths while delivering on their rural routes, all rural mailboxes were to be assessed for safety using the traffic safety assessment tool(TSAT). If it passed, the mailbox could remain where it was, if it failed we then visited with the mailbox owners and told them that there mailbox had to be moved (due to sightline issues around curves in the road or hills) and would provide an appropriate location for the mailbox. Worked in teams doing the lawn maintenance for commercial properties throughout Winnipeg. Some of the duties performed were: cutting the lawn with riding lawn mowers, hedge trimming, weed whacking(string trimming), weeding and edging the flower beds as well as cleaning up garbage on the property. The work was seasonal in nature beginning in early/mid April and ending in mid/late October.

Taught Grade 4 in a private Christian school. Subject areas taught were: LA, Math, Science, Social Studies and Art.

Substitute taught at elementary schools throughout the River East Transcona School Division.
