Raising the Bar: Healthcare’s Transforming Role (rtbhealthcare.org) developed a comprehensive set of principles for how the healthcare sector can advance health equity and help achieve optimal well-being for the people and communities it serves. Raising the Bar identified key roles played by healthcare as a provider of care; employer; community partner; and advocate/investor, and defined 14 concrete actions healthcare organizations and leaders can take to advance health equity. The effort was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and housed at the National Alliance to Impact the Social Determinants of Health.
