Ed Jagger and Francis Shaw set up Shaw & Jagger Architects in 2010 to allow themto work on a variety of complex projects, often heritage-led, that did not fit wellwith the more commercial practices they had previously worked for. Ed has beeninvolved with a number of new and existing country houses in sensitive locations inrecent years and enjoys working on challenging buildings.Ed has undertaken all aspects of the design process from initial concepts to sitebased project management of large projects. He is interested in the Arts & Craftsmovement and designed the first above ground Greenbelt Paragraph 55 house inthe country to be granted permission at committee level in this style.Having spent many years working on historic buildings he is keen on interpretingand adapting traditional details to meet current regulations particularly withregard to the thermal performance of the new build country houses he has workedon. When not working, Ed spends time visiting historic buildings with his family.
