Division Vice President
CurrentProvide strategic, division wide leadership across four YMCA locations and achieve the $17 million annual budget expectations of the combined locationsImplement association wide and division specific goals, as outlined in the association’s strategic plan Ensure all four centers meet expectations of volunteer board development in number of board members, participation, and philanthropic supportInitiate and manage adjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and submits reportson current operations Program Development and Membership EngagementImplements association membership strategies that support recruitment of new members and retention of existing membersCreate a member-focused culture and model relationship-building skills in all interactionsFoster a climate of innovation and provides guidance to executive directors in resolving problems to ensure member satisfactionDevelop long range plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall YMCA objectivesProvide strategic direction for the Norfolk Division’s emergency response plan and develop training plans to be administered to all staffEnsures all program operations are consistent with association procedures, including emergency, insurance accident, purchasing, personnel, accounting and other administrative systemsResponsible for supervision of 25 full time exempt staff and 40 non-exempt employees (FT hourly & PT)Represent and promote the YMCA in the local community by developing positive working and collaborative relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities
