Project Team Leader that led the Process Automation Initiative (PAI) while managing a staff of 10 chemical engineers and system integrators in the development, design, validation and implementation of a global automation library that included control and equipment modules and production phases in support of multi-purpose, multi-product plants. These plants manufactured active pharmaceutical ingredients. The automation library was used in 5 major projects totaling over $400M investments.Decreased normal staffing of like projects by 50% as a result of the global automation library.Reduced validation revalidation requirements by 80% by documenting and testing once and referencing the global testing by the local sites.Designed and developed novel modular machine control concepts resulting in a 70% reduction in future automation efforts.Developed modular recipe design concepts reducing product transfer, new product introduction and product changes due to optimization improvements by 90%.
