About Ed Machado

A retired Hair Salon Owner from Cape Cod, MA. Former hairstylist to matriarch Rose Kennedy and several of her "clan". Also in house hairstylist at Cape Cod Melody Tent, where I catered to many of the Broadway Stars who appeared there each summer ( Rosemary Cloony, Helen O'Connell, Rose Marie, Margaret Whiting, etc.). That exposure kindled a desire for "living well", which naturally led to an abiding interest in gourmet food & fine wine. When I retired to Venice, FL. I was awed by the downtown district with it's historic Italian Renaissance architecture, and its growing assortment of fine restaurants. So in 2013, we started The Taste of Venice Grand Gourmet Food Tour. It's success was instantaneous. For our 2014 -15 season we have added several new venues, and a special wine-paring option at selected stops on the tour.
