DPW Management, Tittabawassee Township, MI – I provide management services for the operation, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and other DPW services, including streets, water distribution, facilities maintenance and sewage collection. I am responsible for the Residuals Management Plan (RMP) and RMP reporting to the MDEQ.I also have solids handling process experience that has proven successful in maximizing process efficiencies. I have worked with a variety of equipment from coil filters, belt presses, lime stabilization and anaerobic digestion and the ancillary equipment associated with these processes. The byproducts of these systems have been incinerated, land filled and land applied. I have hands on and managerial experience with the operation, maintenance and laboratory analysis required to maximize biosolids systems. I organize staff utilization to maximize operating costs. I am experienced in cross training and educating of public sector workers, which has resulted in continuous individual improvement and improved facility performance, been instrumental in the development of standard operating procedures and process control strategies in a variety of dissimilar workplaces. My experience with biosolids systems ranges from developing improved work flow for “in place as is systems” to assisting in the creation of “design and build” of site specific fully automated systems. I have President of the Michigan Water Environment Association, been published in technical journals on topics such as investing in infrastructure during a down economy and Great Lakes water withdrawal legislation. I have also served on several stakeholders groups organized by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, most recently the State Revolving Fund Advisory Committee and the Pesticide General Permit Stakeholders Committee.

• City of Saginaw Wastewater Treatment Plant Assistant Superintendant. Provided administrative support to Director of Public Works. Supervised and directed the daily activities of Maintenance, Operational, Laboratory, Industrial Pretreatment Program and Retention Treatment Basin staffs at this 25 MGD average plant. Managed the Land Application Program that lime stabilized over 4000 tons of primary sludge annually. Creation of technical specifications for a variety of projects. Assisted with project management.

• Provided administrative support to Director of Public Works. Supervised and directed the daily activities of Maintenance, Operational, Laboratory staffs at this 12 MGD average plant. Managed solids handling processes including the pumping of sludges, operation of coil filters, belt filters, polymer applications, incineration and land filling of the final bio-solids product. Creation of technical specifications and project management. Electronic review, submission and certification of all regulatory and process reports.
