The hotel is the first under Marriott’s Westin brand in London, and the UK.Carefully placed between two scheduled monuments below, the river Thames to the South and the St Pauls Height limitations above, DMA’s sensitively designed 222-bed 5-star hotel replaces a collection of four tired and outdated office buildings with a cohesive piece of architecture, bridging across Upper Thames Street and giving it a prominent position over one of the primary arterial routes through the City of London. The building is also highly visible from the South Bank, which allows the building panoramic views over the River Thames towards Bankside. There is also the introduction a new riverside walkway as a key element in a scheme connecting Albert Embankment with the Tower of London along the river.Studio Moren is an award winning practice of architecture and interior design specialists working right across the hospitality spectrum. ReardonSmith Architects is an award-winning leader in international hotel and resort design.I was Project Architect on 5* Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort in County Limerick, Republic of Ireland.

I was site based Project Architect at Hilton London Bankside, owned and operated under a franchise agreement by Splendid Hospitality Group. Working daily alongside Construction Managers IGP Management and their sub-contractors on the delivery of this £50m 5-star hotel. I played a pivotal role in both the base build of the shell and core and the fit-out which was undertaken by Italian firm, LEMA Mobili (Bedrooms) and Leicester based fit-out contractors, EESmith (Front of House).
