Owned receiving and checking in of 3rd party Windows RT firmware and driver code in Windows build system. Owned debugging and fixing build breaks for 3rd party code.Drove Selfhost Quality effort for Windows Phone 10 firmware releases. Identified critical scenarios to track, including video playback, call data, crash system, audio, Bluetooth, etc. Utilized both manual Selfhost data as well as telemetry gathered from both internal Microsoft teams as well as external users receiving beta build flights. Reported this Selfhost data (bug status, usage, regression information) across entire Windows Phone organization via weekly status mails. Gathered Windows Phone usage data via telemetry across various internal teams and reported data up to Director level to drive greater Selfhost participation. Created reporting webpages to display data from SQL backend on demand, giving management a view of usage nearly real time.

Worked with test and development counterparts in Windows Device Compatibility team. Ensured correct device test matrix was in place by analyzing market data and doing driver equivalency comparisons of device classes. Used Agile Scrum based development of multiple internal tools in the Windows Device Compatibility and Tools Team. Tracked Sprint work items via Team Foundation Server, led daily Stand Ups, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives. Tools created included a Dynamic Reporting system, a SQL based Driver and Device Library tool, and WTT Scheduler Plugin.Worked with multiple OEM and IHV partners as part of the IHV Engagement Team to ensure proper resolution to both Microsoft and Partner code defects, deliver Microsoft builds to Partners and message Microsoft schedules. Worked Cross-Group with Microsoft feature teams across all device classes, advocating bugs on behalf of Microsoft partners. Ensured Microsoft Partners had all relevant NDA’s in place by working with Microsoft legal team.

Reviewed staffing levels across multiple product releases to ensure team efficiencies.Engaged with OEM partners to ensure 3rd party drivers of USB web cameras and TV Tuners were of Windows quality to be included in Windows releases. Owned quality signoff of inbox drivers.Designed and led team in creation of automation system to validate code check-ins based on code coverage analysis of check-in and before / after automation runs.

Owned test effort for Media pipeline from Capture to Rendering. Areas owned included Windows renderers (VMR, EVR, Legacy Pipeline), Stream Buffer Engine, Media Foundation, Direct Show and Protected Pipeline.Wrote test plans and test cases for each area. Ensured regular test execution and reporting of test results. Created bugs and represented code defects in team triage. Championed critical code defects in Windows Shiproom.
