Forensic engineer with more than 40 years of experience involving machine design, systems maintenance, and forensic science. Marine/Mechanical Engineer for the US Navy at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard from 1962 to 1966. Supervising Engineer for Chevron USA at its Barbers Point refinery in Hawaii from 1966 to 1972. Private consulting practice in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1972. Moved consulting practice to Spokane, Washington in 1973. Since 1973 specialized in mechanical and system failure analysis including extensive vehicular accident reconstruction work. Investigated more than 2100 cases as a consultant to the transportation and insurance industries and the legal profession. Have given deposition testimony in more than 170 cases and have provided expert testimony in approximately 100 cases in district, state, and federal courts in the Western U.S., Canada and Alaska.Qualified as expert witness in Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Idaho, Montana and California.Depositions involving cases in Oregon, Kansas, Illinois and Ohio.
