Former EVP and Global General Counsel at Marriott International. Deep experience with all aspects of the hospitality industry, including owner/manager/franchisor relationships, M&A, international expansion and regulation, dispute resolution, crisis management, real estate, joint ventures, compliance, and brand protection. While at Marriott, I managed the global Marriott law department, comprised of 100+ attorneys and 250+ law colleagues around the world. Subsequent to Marriott, I have served on for-profit (MDU Resources/NYSE:MDU), non-profit (Goodwill) and start-up (Workbox) boards, with positions as Chair and Chair of Finance and Governance Committees. Prior to Marriott, I spent twenty years in private practice of law in D.C., concentrating in real estate transactions.
