I sit on the London Area Committee. My area of particular responsibility is the development of Judo in Universities and Colleges.

I am the Head Coach for Judo at the Academy and responsible for the development and delivery of both the Junior and Senior programs. The Academy produces competitive players at every level. I therefore coach players who regularly compete at County, Area, National and International Level. This includes players who compete in Adaptive Judo. I also coach Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) at the Academy.

I am the coach for Judo and BJJ at the University.

Teaching for the Sports Science Department. Particular interest in Physical Literacy and Sport Education.

I set up and run Epsom Judo Club. In 2007 I won an award from Epsom and Ewell Council for my contribution to sport in the county of Surrey.

I was appointed in 2009 to specifically oversee and help manage the development of a new gym and fitness facility at the club.

I bought an old church hall damaged by fire and established my own Health Club and Martial Arts Centre. The Club consisted of 2 large training halls, a gym, treatment rooms and café. By 2001 the Academy had over 800 members. The Centre;• Regular classes in 10 different Martial Arts.• Venue for tournaments, seminars and workshops. • The contracts to teach Judo or Personal Safety in over 10 local schools. • The contract to provide Surrey Police A Division the training for their Arrest and Restraint techniques.• A registered centre for the British Aikido Association, the Amateur Judo Association, the British Judo Association, the Amateur Boxing Association and the International Taekwon-do Federation.Personally;• Set up, developed and managed the business.• Coached from grass roots through to elite level at both the Academy and in local schools.• Fitness tested and produced all the training programs for the competitive players at the Academy. • Set up local Judo or Boxing clubs for Surrey Police in areas where anti social behavior was seen to be a problem. • Helped Epsom and Ewell Borough Council and Surrey County Council set up Judo and Boxing classes for children within the area who would not normally have access to sport.• Worked with the London Borough of Sutton to get children with severe learning difficulties and disabilities involved with sport.• Worked with the Elmbridge 14 – 19 Consortium Applied Learning Project, to get children between 14 and 19, who had been excluded from school, regularly involved with sport and exercise both at school and local sports clubs. • Coached for the Mid Surrey School Sports Partnership, using Judo, and Boxing to promote sport and exercise within local schools.

I devised and delivered all the staff training courses for the Personal Fitness trainers at Holmes Place.I also designed and delivered weekend courses on Personal Fitness Training for the undergraduate Sport Science and Physiotherapy students at Birmingham University.I set up and established successful Personal Fitness Training businesses both at Sandown Sports and Fitness Club and Portobello Health and Fitness Club.

Plus One International is an American company that sets up and runs Corporate Health Clubs. I was employed to help set up and manage their first facility at Canary Wharf.My training at Plus One allowed me to work with many of the top health and fitness trainers from the USA as well as visit professional sports clubs such as Bath and Saracens Rugby Clubs to look at their training and injury rehabilitation programs.
